What is the correct name of the American F-16?  Many call it the Falcon and 
others call it the Viper.

Officially it's the F-16 Fighting Falcon. It's unofficially nickname given 
to it by pilots is the Viper.

Also, somewhat derisively called the "Lawn Dart" on occasion...

I believe the Starfighter had that one first. We were using it in Germany in 
1975.

I learned from a maintenance guy, and I think it was a 105, the called
